The Community Garden was first created on property managed by the Weston County Senior Center in 2009. Since then it has become a place where community members can grow vegetables, fruit, flowers and much more. It has also become a location for community gathering and education.

The garden consists of 60 raised beds as well as rows available for planting larger area requiring plants including squash, pumpkins, and corn. For more information about the garden or to reserve a garden plot, contact Carolyn Sheilds at the Weston County Senior Center at (307) 746-4903.

Community Garden Layout
In 2023, efforts will be taken to clean out raised beds which have become overgrown with weeds and grass. A variety of methods will be utilized to determine the best methods. An article will appear in the Summer 2023 Barnyards and Backyards magazine, with a follow-up article in 2024. Be sure to check the progress this summer!
