Drought Resistance: Moderate

Cold Hardiness:  Moderate

Growth Rate: 1-3ft Per Year

Lifespan: 250+ Years

Wildlife Value: Nuts eaten by birds and squirrels.  Leaves may be browsed by deer.

Misc.: It is allelopathic, meaning it releases a natural herbicide that inhibits the growth of other plants under its drip line.
